Why the cost?
You may be wondering why there is a cost to play a high school sport sponsored by the school. Well, great question. While we have solid support from the Gretna School district and permission to use the facilities, Lacrosse is not yet sanctioned in Nebraska. This means it is not required for schools to have a team or provide financial support. Therefore, we rely solely on registration fees, fundraising and sponsors to purchase equipment, pay refs, pay our coaches and support all the behind the scenes things that happen on a high school team.

We don't want the cost to prevent anyone from playing if they have the desire to and can't currently afford equipment or registration. We have loaner equipment available for those who need it. We also have scholarship opportunities available to cover registration fees and USA Lacrosse Membership Fees.
If you or someone you know would like to participate in Gretna Boys High School Lacrosse and need financial support, please email
